Pay Scale: For a maximum duration of 2 years, Rs. 22,000 per month (consolidated) Fellowship is eligible.

Job Qualifications: M.Sc, M.Sc. NET (CSIR/UGC) eligible candidates will be given preference in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Botany/Life Sciences or an allied region with at least 55% marks from any recognised university.

General Instructions: 1. The role above is strictly contractual and is only for the duration of the project. The chosen candidates shall not be entitled to demand any periodic appointments/absorption from this institute. 2. In order to attend the interview, no TA/DA will be charged. 3. Candidates will not be entertained after the online interview slot unless the decision of the selection committee is final and binding on the candidates in the event of any necessity. 4. Canvassing would disqualify the applicant in any way.

About Presidency University

The University of the Presidency, Kolkata, formerly the Hindu College and College of the Presidency, is a public state university situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Raja Radhakanta Deb, Maharaja Tejchandra Ray of Burdwan, David Hare, Justice Sir Edward Hyde East, Prasanna Kumar Tagore and Babu Buddinath Mukherjee founded the college in 1817.

Established as the Hindu College’s Mahapathshala wing, it was renamed in 1855 as the Presidency College, i.e., the Bengal Presidency College. It was elevated to full university status in 2010, under the Chief Ministership of Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, a former college student, by the Presidential University Act, passed in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2010.
