The Demo Platform Integration Engineer is responsible for operating and maintaining the demo delivery platforms while integrating the companies software solution assets as consumable systems for the Sales, PreSales and Partner organizations.

Generated deliverables by this group are leveraged by a wide variety of sales professionals of various technical skills and abilities. In addition to being used as a technical validation or proof point of capabilities during pre-sales engagements, deliverables are also used as cornerstone elements of presentations and strategies at major marketing events. This material is often delivered in direct support of executive presentations at these events and receives wide exposure across existing and perspective customer base.

The successful candidate will have shown experience, knowledge and comfort with complex software systems and fast paced technical projects. They will be an individual who thrives in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment and can show a strong ability to work in a matrix oriented organization.

You must have strong system integration, scripting and development skills combined with excellent communication and collaborative abilities.

On a regular basis, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise support to stakeholder organizations regarding developed demos and supporting infrastructure.

  • Interact with key stakeholders – sales organization and partner communities – to understand the specific and general requirements and priorities for software demonstrations.

  • Act as a product and solution expert regarding assigned solution and topic areas.

  • Creatively solve problems with minimal direction, creating easily leveragedmaterial to be applied by others to avoid future issues.

  • Perform external analysis as required to drive/support demo content creation and use case examples to highlight differentiation between Micro Focus and competitive offerings.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications/other teams to execute GTM plans

  • May develop/communicate closed-loop post-analysis of assigned programs

  • Periodically will directly support sales motions with presentations and demonstrations to customers

  • May work at global trade show events configuring, supporting, and presenting software demonstrations.

  • Assist with execution of GTM programs as directed by manager

  • May track/report program/campaign metrics versus predetermined goals/benchmarks

  • May develop/communicate closed-loop post-analysis of assigned programs

  • Perform marketing operations activities as directed, e.g., Siebel Marketing Resource Management (MRM)/Customer Relationship Management (CRM), PO/accrual management, collateral fulfillment

  • Contribute to development of GTM programs via competitive/other analysis

  • Assist with execution of GTM programs

  • Support the successful delivery of customer facing demos by addressing issues and needs of demo platform users.

  • Support the successful development of demo offerings by addressing issues and needs of demo developers.

  • First line of support for demo platform users for demo content issues within Micro Focus Products and Solutions.

  • Including Micro Focus solutions for – Business Service Management (BSM, Sitescope, uCMDB, etc) , Cloud and Automation (CSA, DMA, CODAR, SA, etc),

  • Service Portfolio Management (Asset Manager, Service Manager, Propel, etc) and Application Development Management (ALM, Agile Manager, Loadrunner, etc)

  • First line of support for demo platform users and developers for demo platform infrastructure system issues.

  • Including Cloud Resources (SuSe Openstack, ESX, KVM, QEMU, etc.) and Provisioned Demo Systems (OS, Networking, Storage, etc.)

  • Provide proper and timely escalation of demo content issues to correct demo content owners.

  • Provide proper and timely escalation of demo infrastructure issues to correct infrastructure owners.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimum2-4 years experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Using software applications design tools and languages.
  • Operating system configuration, administration and deep support.
  • Cloud computing consumer operations experience.
  • Working demonstrable understanding of core IT (Networking, Storage, Compute, etc.) architecture and operations.
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Designing software applications running on multiple platform types
  • Software applications testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
