*Fellowship amount is applicable according to new CSIR guidelines for NET / GATE / GPAT or other national eligible tests. The fellowship amount will be 25,000/- or 28,000/- against 31,000/- and 35,000/- respectively with HRA, if suitable students are not found.*
Note 1: Before the current OM was issued by DST / CSIR on 10.07.2020, the nomenclatures for Project Associate I and II positions are Project Assistant Level II and III as well as Project JRF and SRF and it was Project RA for the position of Senior Project Associate. In view of this, while submitting their project proposals, scientists asked for these positions to be sanctioned and they were also sanctioned. However, these old nomenclatures can not be advertised in the changed conditions as the new OM supersedes all other previous OMs and thus these new nomenclatures.

Note 2: For candidates from statutory classes (SC / ST / OBC / PWD) as per Govt., the above age limits are relaxable. Instructions on the subject from India/ CSIR.
The screening will be done after receipt of applications and the eligible candidates will be shortlisted and they will be informed of the interview date at their respective email address to participate in the online interview for selection. Initially, the commitment shall be for a period of six months, which may be extended or reduced depending on the duration of the sponsored project’s tenure / the fellow’s satisfactory performance or conduct, as the case may be. The engagement shall be purely on a temporary basis for the projects sponsored and shall not entitle the CSIR / IICT to a permanent position.
