Job Qualifications: Degree in Electronics / Instrumentation / Bioinformatics/ Biomedical Engineering in 1st Class Engineering. Five years’ experience working for Govt. Departments Organizations, Autonomous Authorities, PSU in the handling and management of life sciences instruments with at least two years of experience in the application and maintenance of equipment in advanced biological research laboratories, containment laboratories or clean pharmaceutical facilities: HVAC, biomedical waste disposal, HEPA filter decontamination and laboratory validation Software application awareness is desirable.

Job Responsibilities:a. The Technical Officer’s primary responsibility is the installation, care & maintenance and operation of all advanced and general research equipment. b. The Technical Officer shall supervise the control systems and track at BSL-3/BSL4 levels and other BMS laboratories the parameters of all installations & laboratory conditions. c. By assessing the needs of the user department and preparing the requisite technical requirements to initiate purchasing processes, he/she can assist in procurement.

d. He/she should set up an in house Calibration and validation facility with NABL accreditation. e. He/she should monitor the Computer facility, Security surveillance systems, Biometric attendance recorders, LAN systems, Conferencing facilities, Communication systems. f. HVAC systems, DG sets, Protection & Control Equipment, and solve problems /or supervise outsourcing or in-house strengthening of relevant facilities. g. To ensure compliance of Good Engineering Practices at the laboratories.
